I have bought a number of appliances from Glebe Radio & Appliances, and had them installed by Robert Kraft. Dabney, the owner, is very knowledgeable about appliances and will tell you which ones are reliable and which ones break. Robert Kraft used to own McGuire’s Appliances – he also knows a LOT about what works. The amount you pay for him installing is trivial considering that the appliance will be in place for years and it has to be installed right. Robert does the job right. I echo the reviews of others. This is a great place to buy appliances.

My husband and I purchased a GE gas stove, a washer, and a dryer from Dabney at Glebe Radio and Appliances. We were extremely pleased with our entire experience with this company, particularly after having a miserable shopping experience at Sears. The GE washer we had selected turned out to be backordered, and Dabney suggested we get a slightly higher-level washing machine (at the same price we were paying for the original washer). Very impressive! Dabney is very low-key; he didn’t pressure us in any way. Rather, he directed us to the most appropriate appliances for our situation. His installers were great to work with, very considerate and professional. I’m not in a hurry to buy more large appliances, but when I do, I will definitely shop first and only at Glebe Appliances.

Better prices than Home Depot, better service than Bray and Scarff, and their deliverymen were the most professional of the three. Hell they were the only ones who actually measured the door widths needed to get into the kitchen BEFORE bringing in the refrigerator.

I can’t say enough positive things about Dabney and his professionalism and excellent service. He has a most appreciated no pressure sales manner and really knows the product lines. His prices are more than fair, especially considering the level of service. You need not go any further than Glebe Appliances. His installer Robert Kraft is also a quality individual who takes the time to do it right.

Excellent prices, very knowledgeable owner and a great delivery/installation team. Having my refrigerator die an early death was irritating but getting it replaced fast and inexpensively made up for it. They got the new refrigerator to me so fast I only had to buy one brick of dry ice to keep my dying refrigerator cold enough to keep my food from spoiling.

Hi. My wife, Sharon Separ, and I have purchased a number of appliances from you in the past 4-5 years, including a clothes washer, clothes dryer, built-in microwave, gas cooktop, and, most recently, a GE dishwasher. The door of the dishwasher is extremely difficult to keep closed – something the technician who installed it said was not unusual and usually resolves itself, but that if it continued you would come out and fix it. The door continues to be a problem – it’s difficult to close when starting the wash cycle, and often pops open during the cycle. There is nothing blocking the door or pushing on it – it just won’t consistently stay closed. Sharon called or visited your store sometime in the past two weeks or so and someone there told her they’d get back with her. We haven’t heard anything. Is someone going to come check on this for us?
